WHAT WAS JESUS MISSION ON EARTH?
Jesus came to Earth for you. What is most important about Jesus’ mission to Earth is that it directly affects your life now and forever. Jesus came to restore your relationship to God the Father. The death of Jesus on the cross is the most important event in history that affects your life directly. If you choose to receive Jesus’ body and blood as a sacrifice for your sins, and are willing to give Him your life, then you receive His life. WHAT IS TRUE TRUE REPENTANCE AND WHAT IS FALSE REPENTANCE?

The words "repentance" and "repenHt" in God's Word are translated from the Greek words "metanoia", (noun); "metanoeO", (verb) respectively which refer to a turn about, a deliberate change of mind resulting in a change of direction in thought. When one believes a fact relative to God's revealed Word, one turns from doubt or unbelief to faith in that revealed truth.
The fruit of repentance.
Matt 3:8
John the Baptist told the Pharisees to bring forth fruit in keeping with repentance.
If we have truly repented it will change our whole way of life.
He even called them brood of vipers.
Because they thought just by baptizing by John they can still live in their sinful life.

FALSE AND TRUE REPENTANCE.
There are false and true repentance.
Satan has his counterfeit repentance too.
Satan knows that most people live by just one commandment that says
“You shall not get caught.”
Even a thief will feel sorry if he is caught.”
But that is not repentance.
King Saul’s – no true repentance
1 Samuel 15 24-30
When King Saul disobeyed God, he admitted to Samuel that he had sinned.
But he didn’t want the people to know that. He still sought man’s honor.
He hadn’t really repented.
There are many today when they are caught sinning they will admit but no sign of repentance.
What happened to King Saul at he end of his life a tragic death as good as commit suicide.

King Ahab is another example of false repentance.
Both acknowledged their sins.
King Ahab was fearful of God’s judgment when Elijah warned him of his sins.
He even put sackcloth on himself and mourned for his sins.( 1 King 21-27-29)
But after that fell back into sin again.
He died a terrible death also.
Judas Issacariot is another example where there was no true repentance.
He went back to the High Priest to say that he has done a wrong thing by betraying Jesus.
Law cannot Save any one only Grace through Jesus could have saved Judas.
He died a terrible death. Even his intestines gushed out.
What is true repentance?
Is like the prodigal son.
Luke 15:11-24)
I will arise and go to my Father and say Father I have sinned against you and against God.
He came under the undeserved favor.
And the Father blessed him with everything He had.
God is not sin hunting but Grace hunting in order for man to return to Him.

Another story where Luke recorded was Zacchaeaus. Luke 19 :1-10
He climbed on the sycamore tree to see the Savior.
When Jesus saw him, Jesus said I am coming to your house for dinner.
Jesus Himself invited Himself to Zacchaeaus house.
Zacchaeaus willing to pay back what ever he cheated people.
Jesus said Salvation has come to your house.
Being a Tax collector he was hated by many but now he saw Jesus forgiveness.
Restitution involves paying back what he owed people.

GOD RESTORES THOSE WHO REPENT.

Job 42:6
6 Therefore I retract, And I repent in dust and ashes.”
Job repented and God restored him.
Psalm 51:
King David repented and God restore him.
Matt 26:75
Peter wept bitterly when the cock crowed 3 times. He repented and became a great man of God.

GOD WANT US TO BE GRACE CONSCIOUS.
So that Grace will have power over sin.
Sin shall have no dominion over you.
Repentance gives us the power not to sin.
And this is where the blessings and favor of God will come and over take you.
Get all the blessings of God this year 2012 by just seeking His Kingdom, His Righteousness and all things will be added to you.

HOW DO YOU INTERPRET KINGDOM?
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (KJV, 2nd Timothy 3:16)
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

WHAT IS THE KINGDOM?
It's true that we can't win God's approval by what we eat. We don't lose anything if we don't eat it, and we don't gain anything if we do. 1 Corinthians 8:8

It is not earned but by believing in Jesus.
Every day you rest in His presence and belief that you are His righteousness.
No Lacking.
As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”
Keep on trusting in Him.
Believing that He is your provider.

DO NOT TRY TO ESTABLISH YOUR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS.
For they are ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God while they try to establish their own, and they have not submitted to God's means to obtain righteousness.
Surrender to God every of your problems.
Surrender to God the plan of this Church for the next step.
Surrender to God if anyone comes against the Grace message or the Leaders of this Church.

The wise men were searching for a King.

But searched in the wrong place.

The same with many of us searching in different ways for the King.

Some are still searching for Him in the cradle some are still seeing Him nailed on the cross.

Where is the King today?

The Wise man brought gifts to Jesus.

Myrrh

GOLD: This carries obvious significance. It's precious and worthy across all cultures and times. It's a gift fit for royalty. It says to the Christ child, You will be a King.

Ancient people burned frankincense, believing it to carry their prayers to heaven. Its use as incense illustrates His role as our Priest.

As an embalming ointment it signified that He was born to Die for the world. In fact, Myrrh was one of the burial spices of Jesus (John 19:39).

Was Jesus born in December 25?

Encyclopedia Britannica States the Christian festival of Christmas was celebrated in Rome AD 336.

The actual Birthday Jesus might not be 25th of December.

The Bible did not record the exact Birthday of Jesus.

Let us remind of ourselves that His birth, burial and resurrection brings a new meaning in our life.

Vs 4 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
Vs5 “I am the vine you are the branches, He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

HE PRUNES THAT YOU BEAR MORE FRUIT.
JESUS IS THE TRUE VINE THE FATHER THE VINEDRESSER.
Job function of the Father:
The Bible says every branch that does not bear fruit He takes away.
Generally this has been understood to be a purging away of dead branches in precisely the same sense that branches are said to be “cast forth” and “burned “ in verse 6.
The Greek word airo has four basic meaning.
To lift up or pick up. This meaning is the exact meaning what the Greek scholars meant.

The Father Lifts up.

Every Branch that does not bear fruit He lifts up.
When the branch is falling and the father lifts up the branch.
This branch will bear much fruit.
The Father God is loving, caring, considerate, patient, slow to anger, forgiving.
He wants to lift you up
The minute He lifts you up. You will bear fruit.
Psalm 145:14 The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
WHEN ARE YOU BEING PRUNED?
When you bear fruit.
Pruning in our Christian life sometimes it is very painful.
It just like a potter who beats the clay so that every pebbles, every fragments are removed.
But during the time of beating the clay. If the clay can talk it will say enough. It is painful.
So is pruning.
The vine will not be happy.
Whom God loves He chastens. Proverb 3:11&12

WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES. Proverb 3: 11&12
Vs 11 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline and do not resent his rebuke,
Vs12 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, the father the son he delights in.
Sometimes it blows my mind. Why me Lord? This is the question I ask the Lord.
You know Lord it is painful.
When you prune me. I am bearing fruit. But, look those who are doing nothing. There is no pain in them. They are just enjoying life.
Then the Lord remind me WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES.
YOU ARE ALREADY CLEAN.
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

ABIDE IN ME.
There is a Hymn being sung in funeral services in the main line Churches. Abide in Me.
It is a good Hymn. But the problem is only on funeral service they sing this Hymn.
But Jesus said Abide in Me and I in you.
He never said I will leave you. I am in You.
But He wants us to Abide in Him.
Why.? Because you can bear fruit.

If you are Sick- He is the Great Physician.

DO NOT PUT LIMITATIONS ON YOURSELF.
We have the habit of putting limitations on ourselves and upon God………. When we say….
I can’t do that because:
I don’t have the education…….
I’m not smart enough…….
I don’t have enough money……..
I’m too young………
I’m too old………
Our problem is we all put limitations on ourselves
and God. Its time for us to take the limits off of ourselves
And off of God.
LET JESUS BE YOUR MASTER
Surrender to Jesus everything- Our Pride, Our Guilt, Our Dreams, Our vision. And Take Him by the hand.
Let go of our Self Righteousness and be clothed in His Righteousness.
Wait upon Him daily and speak to Him. He wants to hear you talking. If the son or daughter talks He listens.
BUT WITH JESUS YOU CAN DO EVERYHTING.
Psalm 41:2 Jesus will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth. Jesus will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.
Jesus has delivered us from the power of darkness and has given us the forgiveness of sin.
Jesus will bless your barns and it will be filled.
Jesus will bless the fruit of your bodies.
Jesus will bless your going out and your coming in.

The time of Esther.

King Ahasuerus is the Hebrew name and Xerxes the Greek name of Khshayarh, king of Persia. 486-464-BC.
King over 127 province from India to Ethiopia.
Esther 1:3 that in the third year of his reign he made a feast for all his officials and servants the powers of Persia and Media, the nobles and the princes of the province being before him.
Esther 1:4 when he showed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the splendor of his excellent majesty for many day, one hundred and eighty days in all.
THE EXHIBITION LASTED 180 DAYS.
After the Exhibition the King made feast lasting for 7 Days.
They served drinks in golden vessels .
There was joy and enjoyment.
They were not forced to drink but each man can drink according to his will.

REFUSAL OF QUEEN VASHTI.
The Queen had her own program for the women in the royal palace.
He commanded his 7 Eunuchs to bring Queen Vashti before the King wearing her royal crown to show her beauty to the people and the officials for she was beautiful to behold.
Vs 12 But Queen Vashti REFUSED to come at the king’s command brought by his eunuchs; therefore the king was furious and his anger burned within him.

2 Obey the king's command, I say, because you took an oath before God. 3 Do not be in a hurry to leave the king's presence. GOD’S WARNING OVER EARTHLY KING.

Give us a king to judge us like all the nations.
God said since they want a king warn them the
consequence of having a king.
He will take away your sons, he will make you slaves.
He will take away your daughters.
He will take away your fields.
He will take away a tenth of your sheep.
He will take away your wealth.
They refused to heed God’s voice.
Vs 22 So the Lord said to Samuel, “ Heed their voice and make them a king.”
QUEEN VASHTI REMOVED.
Reasons for her removal.
Did not obey the kings command.
The queens behavior will be known to all the woman and they also will despise their husbands.
He made a decree throughout his empire that all
Wives should honor their husbands both great and small.
Decree to Search for Vashti’s Replacement.
Esther 2:3 THE FIRST BEAUTY CONTEST. THE WINNER WILL BE QUEEN.
And let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather all the beautiful young virgins to Shushan the citadel into the women’s quarters under the custody of Hegai the king’s eunuch, custodian of the woman. And let beauty preparation be given them.
And the one that pleases the king she will become queen.

PREPARATION FOR ESTHER
Meaning of the name Esther- Persian word the “Star”.
Hebrew name is Hadassah meaning “Myrtle”.
Meaning of Mordecai in Hebrew is warrior.
God has prepared a warrior to bring forth a star.
Who is Mordecai- The uncle of Esther for Esther had neither father nor mother. (Orphan) Mordecai took her as her own daughter.
Esther was lovely and beautiful.

Esther pleased the Eunuch Hegai.
Esther 2:9
Now the young woman please him. And she obtained favor, so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, beside her allowance.
Then seven choice maidservants were provided for her from the Kings Palace, and he moved her and her maidservants to the best place of the women.
SHE FOUND FAVOR.
The eunuch has a special liking. The woman please him.
He readily gave her beauty preparation.
7 Choice maidservants were given to her.
The best place for her to stay.
Luke 2:52
And Jesus increase in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.
If you are a Child of God always proclaim these word that you will find favor with God and men.

Selection of Queen Esther.
Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai who had taken her as her daughter to go in to the king she requested nothing but what Hegai the king eunuch, the custodian of the women advised.
And Esther obtained FAVOR in the sight of all who saw her.
ESTHER OBTAINED GRACE AND FAVOR.
Esther 2:17
The king loved Esther more than all the other woman, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins, so he sat the royal crow upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.
Esther was humble.
Esther was obedient to Modecai she did not reveal her self as Jew.

GOD WAS PREPARING ESTHER TO SAVE JEWISH NATION.
God made Esther a queen for a purpose.
The same way God send His Son for a purpose.
That who ever called on the name of Jesus will be saved.
Esther obtained Favor of God and men.
The same way Jesus obtained favor of God and men.
MAY GOD’S FAVOR AND GRACE COME ON YOU.

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

MANY WRONG IDEAS OF GRACE.
Some say preaching grace message is licensed to sin.
Some say preaching grace is preaching prosperity gospel.
Some say we have to preach both(Law and Grace) in order to be on the save side.
Some say those who preach grace become lawless.
Some say is it so easy to get salvation and grace. We have to do something.

THE
MEANING OF GRACE.
UNEARNED, UNMERITED FAVOUR.
Ephesians 2:8,9
For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
Not of works lest anyone should boast.
I was doing my EE course. I have to memories this verse by heart.
The more I memories it the more I understood grace.

How was Abraham made righteous?
Roman 4 2-5
For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.
For what does the scripture say? “Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.
But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.

WHAT DID KING DAVID SAID?

Just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works.
Vs 7 Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered.
Vs 8 Blessed is the man whom the Lord shall not impute sin.

SOME SAY GRACE IS LISCENED TO SIN
Certainly Not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? (Rom 6:2)
Paul says it is impossible for a person to continue to live in sin after knowing grace.
Or do you not know that as many of us we baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father even so we should walk in the newness of life.

PROSPERITY GOSPEL.
Actually I love this word prosperity because the whole Bible speaks about God’s provision and prosperity.
Gen 39:3 And his master saw that Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.
Gen 13: 2 Abram was very rich in livestock in silver and in gold.
2 Corinthian 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor that you through His poverty might become rich.

PREACH LAW AND GRACE.(save side ?)
Galatians 1 6-9
I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different gospel.
7 which is not another, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But even if we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel to you than we preached to you than what you have received let him be accursed.
Vs 9 As we have said before so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received let him be accursed.

Law + Grace =Spiritual Adultery
Romans 7 1-4
Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives? For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies she is released from the law of her husband. Vs 3 So then if while her husband lives she marries another man she will be called and adulteress though she has married another man. Vs 4 Therefore my brethren you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ that you may be married to another-To HIM who was raised from the dead that we should bear fruit to God.
Preach Grace become lawless?
James 2:10 For whosoever keeps the law as a whole but stumbles and offends in one (single instance) has become guilty of breaking all of it.
Than why did God gave the law?

Salvation did not come cheap it was paid by the blood of Jesus. But God gave us free whosoever believes in Jesus he is saved. Salvation is free but it is not cheap it cost Jesus His life.

THIS IS THE QUESTION EVERY ONE ASK?
WHO IS JESUS?
IS HE THE WHITE MAN’S GOD?
THE INDIANS ASK THE SAME QUESTION?
THE CHINESE ASK THE SAME QUSTION?
THE MUSLIMS ASK THIS QUESTION?
BUT WHAT DO YOU THINK CHRIST IS FOR YOU?

The same question is being asked in Matthew 16 13-19
Vs 13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
Jesus wanted to know what man say He is.
He put forward this question to all His disciples for them to give an answer.
They gave an answer.

THE DISCIPLES ANSWERED.
VS 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah and others Jeremiah or one of the prophet”
They gave the answer based on what others say.
They did not give a definite answer.
Jesus need a definite answer.
Even today the world has no definite answer about Jesus.
But you and I have the answer.
I have friends from the other faith coming to be prayed over but they only want blessings from Jesus. Nothing more. But I will take the opportunity to share the Gospel. The Good News must be told. The definite answer about Jesus must be spoken.
Then we can see the prayer answered and miracle performed.

JESUS ASKED THEM THE SECOND TIME.
VS 15 He said to the, “ But who do you say that I am?”
He need an answer from believers today who is Jesus?
What is Jesus to you?
Is Jesus is enough for you?
Do you believe fully in Jesus?
Can He help you in time of need?
Why is He so important to you?

PETER GAVE A DIFINITE ANSWER.
MATT 16:16
And Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the son of the living God.”
Peter gave the right answer that please our Lord so much.
But before we go into details what Lord spoke about Peter let us look at the meaning of Christ.

MEANING OF CHRIST IN THE GREEK AND HEBREW.
First of all, we must understand that the word "Christ" comes from the Greek "Χριστος" (Christos) meaning "annointed". The word "Messiah" comes from the Hebrew "משיח" (Mashiach) also meaning "annointed". In other words, the Hebrew for "Christ" is the same as "Messiah". Translation of "Redemption in Christ" would be "גאולה בישו המשיח" ( Geulah b'Yeshu haMashiach)

VS 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “ Blessed are you, Simon Bar- Jonah for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
The Son of God is blessing Simon for the answer.

HOW THE CHURCH IS DEFINED
Derived from the Greek Πετρος (Petros) meaning "stone". This is a translation used in most versions of the New Testament of the name Cephas (meaning "stone" in Aramaic) which was given to the apostle Simon by Jesus (compare Matthew 16:18 and John 1:42).

God has given us power.
Ephesians 6: 10 Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
God wants us to be strong in Him and have His power.
Vs 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The spiritual attack is real.
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
We have the Power of the Holy Spirit.
When ever there is an attack of the evil one.
We bind him in the Name of Jesus.
Every host of wickedness will be bound.
We have power.
If the believers do not use the power Jesus has given us than we lose out.

EPHESIANS 6:13
Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may able to stand in the evil day and having done all to stand.
Evil day is one day.
Blessings mostly every day.
When you are being attacked by the evil one be ready the next is blessing.
Because your trust in Christ alone.

ONLY IN CHRIST YOUR PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED.
Peter said You are Christ the Son of the Living God.
If you say it when you are facing a problem.
Your problem is solved.
In Christ alone I put my trust.

MEANING OF THE NAME JOSHUA.

The name Joshua occurs four times in the Bible. Most famous is the judge Joshua the Ephraimite, the successor of Moses and the one who leads Israel into the Promised Land. The original name of this Joshua is Hosea () but Moses names him Joshua (Numbers 13:16)). Other Joshuas are: the owner of a field in Beth-she mite where the Ark returns to Israel (1 Samuel 6:14); A governor of Jerusalem (2 Kings 23:8); A high priest (Hag 1:1). Joshua is also the original Hebrew form of the Greek name Jesus. A shortened form of Joshua (although not clear in English) is the name Jeshua ().

THE STRATEGY OF THE WAR.

WHY DOES GOD WANTS TO BRING DOWN THE WALLS OF JERICHO?

To understand our text his morning we must recognize the importance of Jericho.
Jericho was a strategic city from both military and economic point of view.
It was right on the border of the Promised Land.
It stood watch over the shallows of the River Jordan.
The Canaanite rulers made it into a strong, almost invincible, fortress city.

Joshua 6:12,13
And Joshua rose early in the morning and the priest took up the ark of the Lord.
IN any situation in your life take up the ark.
Bring your problems in the rest of the Lord.
God First the rest will fall into its place.
Vs 13 The seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord went on continually and blew with the trumpets. And the armed men went before them. But the rear guard came after the ark of the Lord, while the priest continued blowing the trumpets.

CHURCH IN TODAYS CONTEXT CONCERNING PRIEST.
1 PETER 2:9
But you are a chosen generation a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
I love the work proclaim the praises.
Just proclaim. Just speak it out. The Priest were instructed to blow the trumpets continually.
The same way bring you request to God. He will grant you hearts desire.
Do not give up.

FINAL INSTRUCTION.
VS 16 And the seventh time it was so when the priest blew the trumpets, “ shout for the Lord has given you the city!
The battles is the Lord’s the victory is ours.
They did only what Joshua told them.
They were instructed not to make any noise in verse 10.
They were quiet mouths shut.
When you pray and still speak negative things you prayers will not be answered.

THE WALLS CAME CRUSHING DOWN.
VS 20 So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him
The Canaanites were being punished, for their sins were too numerous and grievous to be tolerated any longer.
God does not tolerate sin, brothers and sisters.
That’s what Jericho’s wall s say, Sin is punished.
But, for those who believe in Jesus, it is Jesus who takes on sin’s punishment.

WHAT DOES THE FALLEN WALL REPRSENTS?
The fallen walls presented another message as well- a message of grace and blessings.
The fallen stones proclaimed that the Promised Land was entered and possessed only by the might and power of God. They proclaimed that the city and land were given to Israel only as a gift of grace.

Zechariah 4:6
NOT BY MIGHT NOR BY POWER BUT MY SPIRIT SAYS THE LORD.
Who are you, O great mountain?
The mountains shall become a plain before your eyes.
Church it was the Lord Who had broken down the gates and smashed the walls.
But the people could only receive this gift of God through faith.

Hebrew 11:30
By faith the walls of Jericho fell after had marched around them for seven days.
It was the Lord who had broken down the gates and smashed the walls.
But the people could only receive this gift of God through faith.
Not through military or the power of weapons or the cunning of General Joshua, but only grace through faith did the walls of Jericho collapsed.

But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful?
How is it that you have no faith?

Adam come from the root word Adomah which means man.
Gen: 5 Seth means Appointed.
Gen 4:25 Eve said God has given another son in replacement of Abel
Enosh- Mortal- The root word is ‘Anash’ which means incurable, wound, grief.
Names have significant meanings.
Next we have Mahalel which means Blessed or Praise and El is the name of God.
Mahalel -means The Blessed God.
Jared means – Shall come down.
Enoch means- Teaching- Enoch walked with God at age 65. At the age of 300 he was taken up to heaven.
Methuselah –means ‘his death shall bring’ lived for 969 years. Before the judgment came.
Noah-means – root word ‘Nacham’ which means brings relief. Noah means bring comfort and rest.

Adam- Man

Martha and Mary name also has meaning.
Both of them Loved Jesus.
They live in Bethany about 2 miles from Jerusalem.
They had a brother whose name was Lazarus. Whom Jesus rose from the dead. John 11.
They were close friends of Jesus and Jesus always visited them.

Meaning of Martha- means ‘lord’ or ‘Master’
Mary- Myrrh- it means pungent herb.(Sea of bitterness)

Luke 10:38
Now it happened as they went that he arrived a certain village and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.
Martha was the owner of the house.
She loved Jesus.
That is the reason she welcomed Him into her house.
We love Jesus to come to our house.

Mary’s approach towards Jesus.
And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat Jesus feet and heard His word.
Mary was just sitting and listening to Jesus.
She rested at the feet of Jesus.
She heard Him talk and teach.
Her approach was just sitting and listening.
Today many of us are not like Mary.
We are busy or making ourselves busy.
We do not want the best part of God.
We want to do something based on our own effort.

MARTHA WAS DISTRACTED.
VS 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”
When you are tired of doing certain things for the Lord the way you talk we know.
Matthew 12:35
“ A good man out of the good treasures of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasures brings forth evil things.”
Martha was very tired and frustrated.
She told Jesus that Jesus did not care.
If we are not resting in the presence of God this is what we might say.
She could have told Jesus in a different way.
But she accused her sister and was angry and accused Jesus.
We can be like Martha in many ways.
Not knowing that it is not healthy.
We can be serving God and get angry for nothing. ( serving with own strength)

WHAT WAS JESUS RESPOND TOWARDS MARTHA?
Luke 10 :41
And Jesus said to her, “ Martha, Martha you are worried and troubled about many things.
How many of you know when you are worried and troubled you are sinning against God.
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

MARTHA A GOOD WOMAN.
Martha was a very good woman.
But her priorities are wrong.
For Jesus food is nothing.
If she had rested at Jesus feet that day she would have eaten the best food.
Jesus would have performed a miracle and food would have come.
For Jesus to learn His word is more important than the rest.

BY WAITING WHAT DID MARY ACHIEVE?
JOHN 12 VS 3
Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
She was preparing for Jesus dead.
By waiting upon the Lord you will do great things.
You will be literally hearing from Him.

TWO VERY GOOD COMMENDS OF JESUS TOWARDS MARY.
LUKE 10 :42
But one thing is needed and Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.
Jesus is saying Church by only waiting and resting and hearing His word is the good part.
I do not know anything else that is good except by waiting and resting and listening to His word.
If anything else is better you go head and do it and you will find out that you are not heading anywhere.

Jesus commended Mary the Second Time.
John 12:4
But Jesus said, “ Let her alone; she has kept this for the day of My burial.
Judas was not happy and told the money should be given to the poor.
Jesus answered the poor you have always.
No other ladies were able to anoint Jesus after His dead.

LUKE 24 VS 1
Now on the first day of the week very early in the morning they and certain other woman with them came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.
They found Jesus no more.
Church God wants us to be waiting upon Him.
Do not be too busy and miss the boat.
Mary has chosen the good part which shall not be taken away from her.

WHO SHALL BRING A CHARGE AGAINST GOD’S ELECT?

IT IS God who justifies.
But the story was different in Job’s case.
Satan was able to come before God’s throne and complained about Job.

Job 1 :6-12

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan also came among them.
Vs 7 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

What we see in verse 7?
From going to and fro?
His work is to look for preys.
His work is to find out where and what people are doing?
His work is to steal, kill and destroy.
He cheats and lies to get through his agenda.
The Lord knew this and purposely asked him a question in verse 8.

HAVE YOU CONSIDERED MY SERVANT JOB?

VS 8 Then the Lord said to Satan,” Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth a blameless man and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?
The Lord commented 3 things on Job.
None like him.
A blameless and upright man.
One who fears God.

WHAT WAS SATAN’S ANSWER?

VS 9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing.”

When every thing goes well we praise God, we can worship Him freely. We can shout and say Hallelujah.
But what if things do not go on well for you.
Can you still praise God.
Can you still worship Him and thank Him for the situation that you are in.
Year 2000 a tragic thing happened in my life.
I was back from mission work in Indonesia.
I could say bringing hundred to the kingdom.
Signs and wonders happened.
Delighted, happy, God thank you for your miracle.
Back home My eldest son died in a tragic accident.
I was shocked.
Talk about crying no tears came out.
My wife’s faith became very low.
But I was praising God and said Lord All things work well for those who love you.
I told Satan you took my Daniel but I will bring thousands of Daniel into God’s Kingdom.
And since then I am bringing souls for His Kingdom.
Many ways.

What was Satan Strategy against Job?

Vs 10 “ Have you not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has one every side? You have blessed the works of his hands and his possessions have increased in the land.
Vs 11 “ But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he sill surely curse You to Your face.”
God Granted Satan’s request.
Vs 12 And the Lord said to Satan, “ Behold all that He has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

There are many things that bother us in the Lord allowing such a request.
God knew before hand that Job will be a over comer.
God knew that Job will be steadfast in the Lord.
And true enough He even cried out for a mediator. To plead his case.
Because even his good friends came and accused him of many things whish was not true.( Some times it happens to us also)

HOW DID SATAN ABLE TO COME TO GOD IN HEAVEN ?

Satan could come before God because Adam had given up his place when he bowed his knee to Satan in the Garden of Eden.( Genesis 3)
So Satan had the right to take Adam’s place and come before God
Today he no right to take the place because Jesus has taken the place not accusing you but telling God that your righteousness is based on His forgiveness. Amen.

Hebrew 9 22-24

And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Vs 23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
Vs 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for US.

Who is he who condemns?

It is Christ who died and further more is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God who also makes intercession for us.
Church He prays for you. He upholds You.

He is your Good Shepherd.
No more in Condemnation.

WHAT HAPPENED TO JOB CANNOT HAPPEN TO YOU.

Job longed for a mediator.
But had none.

Job 9:33

Nor is there any mediator between us. Who may lay his hand on us both.

He cried out for a mediator.
But you have a mediator.
Any time you have a problem you can go to Him.

JESUS IS YOUR MEDIATOR

I TIMOTHY 2:5

FOR THERE IS ONE GOD AND ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MEN, THE MAN CHRIST JESUS.

Cast all your cares upon Him. He cares for you.
Your worries, anxieties, fears, sickness, bring it to Him. He will surely be a help in time of need.
Deception become his tool .
How ever since the devil cannot come before God any more, he comes to you on earth and accuses you in your conscience.
His greatest too is deception because he has no real power.

Colossians 2:15

Having disarmed principalities and power, He made a public spectacle of them triumphing over them in it.

He has to deceive you.
If he has succeeded than you are finished.
Don’t fall into his trap.
He Has do deceive you thinking that God is against you, that He is angry with you because you have failed Him, or that your sickness is God’s punishment for your sins.

5.IF YOU ARE A GREAT MAN YOU WILL NEVER FORCE TO ACCEPT YOU.

6.NO MAN WHO IS GREAT AND HONOURABLE WILL COERCE PEOPLE.

7.LIKEWISE, GOD IS GREAT, HE IS SO ATTRACTIVE AS THE GOD OF GLORY.

žVS 5 FOR GOD KNOWS THAT IN THE DAY YOU EAT OF IT YOUR EYES WILL BE OPENED AND YOU WILL BE LIKE GOD KNOWING GOOD AND EVIL.

žVS6 SO WHEN THE WOMAN SAW THAT TREE WAS GOOD FOR FOOD, THAT IT WAS PLEASANT TO THE EYES AND A TREE DESIRABLE TO MAKE ONE WISE SHE TOOK OF ITS FRUIT AND ATE. SHE ALSO TO HER HUSBAND WITH HER AND HE ATE.

žHOW WAS SATAN ABLE TO MAKE EVE BELIEVE TO HIS DEVICE?

1.SATAN MADE EVE TALK TO HIM.

2.WHEN EVE TALKED SHE TALKED WRONGLY AND ADDED FEW WORDS WHICH GOD DID NOT SAY.

3.AND ADAM WAS NOT IN THE PICTURE.(HE COULD HAVE STOPPED THE COVERSATION)

4.SATAN MADE GOD LIKE VERY SELFISH.

5.SATAN POINTED TO THINGS GOD DID NOT ALLOW TO EAT NOT POINTED TO THINGS GOD ALLOWED TO EAT.

6.THIS IS THE SAME TACTICS HE USES TODAY.

žSIMILAR INCIDENT IN THE CASE OF JOB. Job 1: 6-11

žNow there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan also came among them.

žVs7 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth and from walking back and forth on it.

žVs 8 Then the Lord said to Satan “Have you considered My servant Job that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man one who fears God and shuns evil?”

žVs9 So Satan answered the Lord and said “Does Job fear God for nothing?”

žVs10 “Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the works of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

žVs 11 “ But now stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has and he will surely curse You to your face!”

žSatan uses the same tactics even with god.

žHe pointed out why Job was faithful.

žHe told all the good things that God had bestowed on Job that is the reason Job is faithful.

žToday Satan has no more power to appear in the heaven to talk God.

žThe key of the Gates of Heaven was taken by Jesus after Adam lost it.

žHe can only come to you and tell you the lacking that you have and make God small and cannot help you.

žHe wants you think that God cannot help you.

žHe creates doubts in your mind.

žGod wants us to eat from the tree of life. The tree of life was a symbol signifying god as the proper source.

žIf we read Genesis 2 only we will be unable to understand the meaning of the tree of life.

žHowever the Gospel of John reveals the life denoted by the tree of life in a concrete way.

žIN HIM WAS LIFE, AND THE LIFE WAS THE LIGHT OF MEN.

žJOHN 15:5 “I AM THE VINE YOU ARE THE BRANCHES HE WHO ABIDES IN ME AND I IN HIM BEARS MUCH FRUIT FOR WITHOUT ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING.

3. HAVE A FAMILY GATHERING AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK.

DO YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO GOD SPEAKING TO YOU?

Do you want to listen to god speaking to you?
Introduction:
During His earthly ministry Jesus often concluded a lesson by crying out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Matt 11:15
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Matt 13:9 The parable of the sower. Jesus said He who has ears to hear let him hear.
There are so many verses that says the same thing. Rev: 2:7
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THESE SAYINGS?
It is akin to saying “ What is being said is very important so you had better pay attention and listen.
Mark 4 23-25
“If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”
Vs24 And He said to them , “Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.
Vs 25 “ For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

It illustrates that Jesus had a problem that often exists today.
Many people don’t listen.
Many don’t read the bible on a regular basis.
Many don’t come for Bible study. Thinking it is not important.
Many don’t wait upon God.
They just want things like “maggie mee.” Cepat di Masak sedap di makan.
God is speaking every day to us He wants us to listen.

The Bible describes 3 Types of Listeners.1. DULLNESS OF HEARING.
The “DULL OF HEARING”….Hebrew 5:11
Of whom we have much to say, and hard to
Explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
Paul said the Hebrew Christians were dull of
Hearing. Some of them keep behaving the
Same way they were before.
When you are dull of hearing there will be no change in your Christian life.
Hebrew 5:12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
Hebrew 5:13- contd. Dullness of Hearing.
For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness for he is a babe.
God wants His children to grow in His word. He don’t want us to be baby Christian for ever.
If you are a baby Christian for ever there will be wolves outside there to sight track you from the word of God.
That is the reason we see so called Christians constantly sinning and doing all kind of nonsense and claiming to be Christian.
Mt 13:13-15
Isaiah wrote of such people and Jesus applied it to many in His day.
Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
Vs 14 “And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive;
Vs 15 For the heart of this people has grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing. And their eyes have been closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with the ears, Lest they should understand with their heart and turn,
So that I should heal them.

DULLNES OF HEARING- CONTD.
People are in such a condition because they are dull of heart.
This prevents them from:
UNDERSTANDING GOD’S TRUTH.
TURNING FROM SIN TO GOD
AND BEING HEALED(SAVED) BY GOD.
WHO WOULD WANT TO BE THIS TYPE OF LISTENER?

2. THOSE WITH “ITCHING EARS” 2 TIM 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
Vs 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth and be turned aside to fables.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENING IN MANY CHURCHES.
THEY JUST WANT TO LISTEN WHAT THEY LIKE TO LISTEN.
WHEN GRACE IS PREACHED THEY CONDEMN THESE PREACHERS.
THEY WANT TO LISTEN TO LAW AND GRACE SO THAT THEY CAN LIVE IN SIN.

3. THOSE WHO HEAR WITH “A NOBLE AND GOOD HEART”.LUKE 8:15
But the one that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
Jesus was speaking about seeds that falls on good ground and bear much fruit.
All of us like to be in this category. If we have a noble heart and start hearing God’s word everyday in our lives we will have a Noble and good heart.

WHEN THE PREACHER IS SPEAKING LOOK AT THE PREACHER.
THIS GREATLY AIDS YOUR CONCENTRATION.
LOOKING ELSE WHERE MAKES IT EASY FOR YOUR MIND TO WANDER.
CLOSING YOUR EYES MAKES IT EASY FOR YOU TO NOD OFF.
THE IMPORTANCE OF GOOD LISTENING.

ONE REASON FAITH IS OFTEN LACKING IS BECAUSE PEOPLE SIMPLY ARE NOT GOOD LISTENERS.
THEY MISS OUT ON THE EVIDENCE IN GOD’S WORD WHICH PRODUCES FAITH.

LISTENING TO GOD MAKES US BEAR MUCH FRUIT.
IN THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER THE ONLY KIND OF SOIL(HEART) CAPABLE OF BEARING FRUIT WAS THE ONE WHICH LISTENED PROPERLY. LK 8:15
TODAY THE SAME QUESTIONED IS ASKED ARE YOU LISTENING TO GOD’S WORD AND BEING SERIOUS TO LISTEN TO HIM TALKING TO YOU?
IF YES THAN YOU WILL BEAR MUCH FRUIT.
BEARING FRUIT COMES FROM “UNDERSTANDING” THE GRACE OF GOD.

WHICH HAS COME TO YOU, AS IT HAS ALSO IN ALL THE WORLD AND IS BRINGING FORTH FRUIT AS IST IS ALSO AMONG YOU SINCE THE DAY YOU HEARD AND KN EW THE GRACE OF GOD IN TRUTH.
THE MORE WE KNOW THE GRACE OF GOD IN OUR LIVES WE CHANGE.
WE DON’T DO THE THINGS WE DO BEFORE.
WE ARE EXCITED TO BE LISTENING TO GOD.
WE WANT TO DO THINGS FOR GOD WITHOUT TELLING.
WE WANT TO BLESS PEOPLE AROUND US.
WE WANT THE WHOLE WORLD TO BE EVANGELISED.

For it all begins with listening in the proper way.
2. How important then is listening?
When it comes to listening to God very important! (all the other appointments cancel) (Isaiah 59 1-2)
It is essential for the good of our soul!

3. Is there ever a time when God does not listen?
Yes, when our sins are between us and God.(Isa 59:1-2)
But we can take care of that problem by receiving God’s Mercy.(Isa 55:6-7)
TODAY THAT MERCY IS OFFERED THROUGH JESUS CHRIST,GOD’S SON. AND GOD SAID: “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON. HEAR HIM!” LUKE 9:35
CONCLUSION:
HAVE YOU HEEDED HIM BY OBEYING HIS WORD? OR DOES THE FOLLOWING CRY OF JESUS APPLY TO YOU…?

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
Vs 21 “Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
Vs 22 “For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Vs 23 “ But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.
Vs 24 “ And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
All these Prophecies has been fulfilled in AD 70
Let His blood be on us and our children. Matthew 27:25

Disobedience would lead to the nation of Israel being scattered amongst all nations.
Duet 28:64. Then the Lord will scatter among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other.
Lev 26:33, Jer 9:16 Ezek 12:15. In all 6 different books of the Bible predicts the scattering of Israel amongst all the nations of the earth. History records this being fulfilled in 70 AD when Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman empire and the remaining Jews were scattered amongst the nations.
No rest for their souls while in exile amongst the nations

Duet 28: 65-66 Amongst those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing and a despairing heart. You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.
For nearly 2000 years following the destruction in 70AD, the wandering Jew has lived without a homeland, subject to the strongest racial prejudice and torment suffered by any people group. From the day they were scattered to the day Hitler devised his final solution to the Jewish problem, this prophecy spoken by Moses has sadly been fulfilled.

IN 1917 Something wonderful happened.
General Edmund Allenby led his troops to surround the city of Jerusalem.
It is reported that the night before his impending invasion, Allenby prayed that he might take the city without destroying the holy places.
Allenby wired London for instructions and had received a simple reply- a scripture word in the bible Isaiah 31:5

So will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem.
Defending He will also deliver it;
Passing over, He will preserve it.
The exciting prospects of such a thing led him to have the verse read aloud before all his troops positioned in the foothills of Jerusalem.
General Allenby commandeered every available aircraft for a fly-over

3. On the morning of December 10 what seemed like hundreds of planes skirted low from just over the Hill.
4. The Turks were astonished to see Big Birds flying over them. Furthermore the name of Allenby further frightened them the word in Arabic means ‘Allah’ means God ‘beh’ is Arabic son. The Turks were looking at a demand for surrender by Allah-beh, the son of God. In response they hoisted a white flag and surrendered the city without firing a single shot.
December 11,1917.

Allenby entered the city of Jerusalem officially.
Patriarch (Grand Mufti) of Jerusalem walked in a white flag of surrender and handed them the keys to Jerusalem.
General Allenby called all the Jews through out the world return back to your homeland but they refused.
They were rich in the countries they were living. They refused to come back.

How many Jews were killed in the Holocaust?
Since 1945-46, the most commonly quoted figure for the total number of Jews killed has been an estimate of approximately six million. This figure, first given at the Nuremberg Tribunal, has been confirmed again and again by later research.
God Himself would restore the Jews to the land of Israel from all the nations
Jer 16: 14-16 However, the days are coming, “declares the Lord, “When men will no longer say, As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ but they will say ‘AS surely as the Lord lives who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of the countries where he had banished them. For I will restore them to the land I gave their forefathers.
1948 another Great Incident.
The United Nations granted a homeland to the Jewish People and the nation of Israel was reborn.
Jer : 3:14,31:8-9,Isa 60 8-9 Duet 30:3, Amos 9:15
The desolate land of Israel would again blossom and be fruitful in the last days
Zech 7:14 I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land was left to desolate behind them that no one could come or go. This is how they made the pleasant land desolate.
History records that while the Jewish people were exiled amongst many nations the land of Israel was a barren desert.
Isaiah 27:6
IN the days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill the world with fruit.
This is exactly the case today! Not only has God brought the Jewish people back into their land like He said He would in the last days but He has also blessed the land so that they now export flowers and fruit around the world. Satellite photos show the green pastures of the nation of Israel in sharp contrast with the surrounding desert lands of the Arab nations. Isa 35:1, Ezek 36:35
God Himself will defend Israel and cause Israel to be mighty in battle.
Zechariah 12:8 On that day the Lord will shield those who live in Jerusalem so that the feeblest among them will be like David and the house of David will be like God, like the Angels of the Lord going before them. Taking in context this verse speaks about God defending Israel in a battle to come in the last days. Have we not seen this miraculously occur several times Israel became a nation again in 1948.They have been greatly out numbered in key Arab-Israeli wars in 1948,1967,and 1973. Yet Israel exists! God has seen to that!Amen.
IN THE LAST DAYS JERUSALEM WOULD BE A BURDEN TO THE ENTIRE WORLD.
Zechariah 12:2-3 Behold I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about. And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all the burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces.
Turn on your local and International TV stations what you expect to hear and see?
Jerusalem is a burden that causes trembling for all the nations just as God foretold. What makes this prophecy even more remarkable is that when the prophet Zechariah spoke these words around 520BC. Jerusalem lay in ruins. But God said it would become the focus of the world’s attention.

Today Israel has 0.01% of the worlds population, yet 33% of the United Nations resolutions have been passed concerning her
In the End all nations shall come against Israel. Zech 14:2
I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it, the city will be captured, the houses ransacked and the woman raped.
Apart from USA, Israel has few allies. In recent conference on racism in South Africa, the Israeli and United States delegates were forced to walk out as the other participating nations vented their anger towards Israel and tried to declare it a racist state. One day the Bible says she will have no allies, and all the nations shall be gathered against her. Our TV news will show us we are on the way to that.

TWO MOTHERS IN THIS STORY.

VS21 Tell me who you want to be under the law are you not aware what the law says?

Vs 23 His son by the slave woman was born in the ordinary way; but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a promise.

Vs 24 These things may be taken figuratively, for the women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar

Vs25 Now Hagar stands for Mounts Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children.

Vs26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free and she is our mother.

Vs27 For it is written
“Be glad, O barren woman, who bears no children break forth and cry aloud, you who have no labor pains; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband.”

Vs28 Now, you brothers like Isaac are children of promise.

Vs29 At that time the son born in the ordinary way persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now.

Vs 30 But what does the Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.

Vs31 Therefore, brothers we are not children of the slave woman but of the free woman.

Introduction:

LAW AND GRACE-THE THRESHOLD OF THE GOSPEL

Many times when we learn some new truth, there is threshold at the door of that truth that we have to learn in order to understand the rest of it.

Any man who does not understand the difference between Law and Grace will never understand the Gospel.

It is like trying to learn to drive without learning how to use a steering wheel and the brakes

You are the real children of Abraham.
The Apostle Paul uses an Old Testament story from the life of Abraham.

This is significant because the Legalists all claimed to be the sons of Abraham.

Even if you ask a Muslim or a Jew they claim to be the sons of Abraham.

Paul shows them the difference between Law an Grace and proves that the Legalists were under law and therefore not the spiritual children of Abraham.
The Facts( 4:21-23)

The Galatians were in danger of turning back.

They wanted to have both.

Paul was trying to stop them and focus them on life under grace.

Paul challenged them to be aware of what the Law really was.

Today many churches have gone back to the law. Not knowing that they come under curse.

Today the GAM church is enjoying all the blessing of God. Because we believe in 100% Grace. We come under the blessings.

The Interpretation( 4:24-27 )

In order to emphasize the contrast between Law and grace Paul treated those two mothers figuratively.

Two covenants 4:24
One was the Mosaic which had it origin at Mount Sinai.

Those under this legal covenant were slaves.

As Hagar brought forth a slave son, so does the Law.

The other covenant was Grace

5. As Sarah brought forth a free son, so does grace.

TWO JERUSALEMS 4:25-26
Hagar stood for the first-century city of Jerusalem- a city enslaved to Rome and in slavery to the Law.

Sarah, stood for the Jerusalem…..above the mother of all the Children of grace.

Mothers except blessings to come to you. Many blessings is going to come to you. Amen. Fathers say Amen.

This heavenly city, which one day will come to earth( according to Rev.21:2.is now the city of the living God. Heb 12:22
A Quote From Isaiah 54:1 Galatians 4:27
Paul applied this passage Sarah who though previously barren, was later blessed with a child.

She would ultimately have more children than Hagar.

Today You are all children of the free woman Sarah.

COMPARING ISAAC TO CHRISTIANS 4:28

As “Isaac” experienced a supernatural birth and was a child by means of a promise, so believers experience a supernatural birth.(John 3: 3,5)

Vs 3 Jesus answered and said to him,
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Vs5 Jesus answered , “Truly,truly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

2. As children of promise Christians are in a distinct category and should not live as children of bondage.

COMPARING ISHMAEL TO FALSE TEACHERS 4:29
Paul compared Ishmael’s persecution of Isaac to false teachers’ opposition to believers.

Abraham celebrated the weaning of Isaac with a banquet.

At that time, Ishmael mocked Isaac, laughing at his younger step brother, since Ishmael was the elder son and assumed he would be heir to his father’s estate.( Gen 21:8-9)

Vs9 Now Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian whom she had borne to Abraham mocking.

4 That early squabble has perpetuated in the two groups even today.

5. The Jews and the Arabs still don’t get along.

6. Paul compared the legalistic to Ishmael as those who were born out of the legalistic self- efforts.

7. He charged them of persecuting the true believers who were born by the power of the Spirit.

8. With few exceptions Paul’s persecution came from the Jew, the people in bondage to the Law.

9. Today the same persecution comes to the churches that preach the Gospel of grace. Those who preach both that mean law and no persecution.

PAUL COMPARED ABRAHAM TO THE GALATIANS 4:30
When Sarah saw Ishmael mocking Isaac, she made Abraham expel the slave woman and her son.

God granted Sarah request.( Gen 21,10,12)

Paul was telling the Galatians to excommunicate the Legalistic ( those preaching Law as the commandment of God)the same way Abraham excommunicated Hagar and Ishmael.

CLOSE:
Therefore brother we are not children of a bondwoman but of the free woman.

God is blessing each and everyone of you. You come under Grace.

You are not under the Law but under Grace.

He was wounded for our transgressions

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him.
And by His stripes we are healed.
The more I start reading this verse my hearts melts in the presence of God and know the true reason for His resurrection.

And we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned every one to his own way
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Once we were sinners who will be sent to hell. But because of His love he took every of our sins upon Him.

Matthew 27 45-46
Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land.
Vs 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice saying, “Eli,Eli lama sabachtani ?” that is My God My God why have you forsaken Me?

This is the first time Jesus addressed His Father as God. All the time Jesus called Him Father.

Habakuk 1:13
You are of a purer eyes than to behold evil.
And cannot look on wickedness
Why do You look on those who deal treacherously,
And hold Your tongue when the wicked devours.
One more righteous than he?

The Father turned His back on His son. Today He will never turn His back on you.
All our sins were on Him. All our sickness on Him.

Heb 13:5 I will never leave you nor forsake you.

The son was forsaken so that you will never be forsaken.

AS a judge God turned His back on His Son. He cried His heart was broken because Christ was never more pleasing to Him than when He was on the cross. Christ suffering was a sweet smelling aroma to the Father.

Ephesians 5: 2
And walk in love as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma.
He made one offering for the remissions of sins.
There shall be no more offering for the remissions of sins.

Heb 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who being sanctified.

Do you Remember what Jesus said?
“Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. (John 10:17)

If you are a parent you love each one of your children equally. But when one of them does something special for you out of love, it touches your heart and you just want to run to him and hug him. That was what happened at the cross, except that that the Father could not embrace His son. Instead He had to turn His back on His Son because our sins had to punished in His Son’s body.

The Reason for the Resurrection
Vs25 who(Jesus) was delivered up because of our offences and was raised because of our justification.
The bible tell us that Christ was delivered up for our sins and raised from the dead for our justification. You may already know why Jesus died for our sins but do you know the significance of God raising Him from the dead?

Let me give you an illustration to help you understand the significance of Jesus resurrection.
Let us say you are living in a foreign country. One day, you happen to break a major rule of the land. You appeal to the king for mercy. He says, “A rule is a rule. I cannot bend the rule for you. What will others say about my integrity?
How ever if you can find a substitute to take your punishment – three months in jail- I will allow it.

By God’s grace you find a willing substitute. He goes to prison on your behalf and you don’t see him for some time. The day week and months pass by.
When you know that your crime has been fully paid? When will you be able to rest easy regarding your crime? When you see your substitute walking in freedom again! When you see him out of the prison you will know the sentence has been full served. You will know that you are now justified and no one can bring a charge against you for your old crime. No longer will you be afraid of the king or his guards coming after you because you know that the one who was punished in your place is now walking free.

Close:

Beloved, Jesus your substitute paid the dept you could not pay. On the cross He bore the sins of your entire life. God put it all on Jesus and then He punished Jesus for every single one of those sins until He was fully satisfied. And because He was so pleased with what Jesus had done, He raised Him from the dead.
Today, Jesus tomb remains empty. He is not there for He has risen! His resurrection and empty tomb will be forever be our assurance that we have been fully justified!.

The Oil of Anointing Brings forth victory.

First time the bible recorded about anointing is anointing the priest. Exodus 29 vs 7 And you shall take the anointing oil pour it on his head and anoint him.

And the priest becomes the anointed one. He is Holy and God wants him to holy and perfect in the eyes of God. To perform his priestly duties.

Today we are also priest in the eyes of the Lord but in a better covenant that is through the blood of Jesus.

1Peter 2 6,7 8 & 9 confirms that we are priest and not the priest of the Old covenant but the New Covenant and made us Royal priesthood because of Jesus our master. But we need the Oil. With the oil of Anointing nothing works. Oh brother the oil is a significant of the Holy Spirit. I agree but they poured the oil on the priest and things happened in their life.

On Prophets. The Lord appeared to Elijah and told him to anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as King over Israel.. And Elisha the son of Shapat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.( 1 Kings 19 vs 16)

On Kings .1 Samuel 10 :1

Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head and kissed him and said “Is it not because the Lord has anointed you commander over His inheritance?

When God ahs anointed you no one can touch you. Because you are the anointed vessel of God. Even King David was unable to touch Saul when opportunity arise. Because it grieved David when he cut the garments of King Saul as a sign that God has given King Saul was under his mercy.

On Sacred Objects Exodus 30 26-28

Vs 26 With it you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting and the ark of the testimony .

Vs27 the table and all its utensils the lamp stand and its utensils and the altar of incense.

Vs28 the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the layer and its base.

A church in Jakarta which has 150,000 members. During the riot in Indonesia all the houses that belongs to the Chinese were burnt down. But, none of Paria Gi’s church members church were burnt. The did what the pastor taught them to do. They poured the oil form the front to the back believing that God will protect their House. And God did. Their neighbours house were burnt down but none of their houses were burnt down.

The power God has given us we fail to believe.

People with sickness when they pour the Olive oil believing God will work a miracle God did. Many sickness were healed.

Even tumors were healed.

A man poured the olive oil believing God will protect him. Yes God did. The rioters came and banged his wind screen with a hammer. Nothing happened they tried again, nothing happened, the whole gang fled.

Our God is a great God He gave us victory over our enemies.

Ordinary Purpose

1. Ruth 3:3,4&5

Therefore wash yourself and anoint yourself, put on your best garment and go down the threshing floor; but do not make known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.

Vs4 Then it shall be when He lies down that you shall notice the place where he lies; and you shall go in and uncover his feet and lie down and he will tell you what you should do.”

Vs 5 And she said to her, “All that you say to me I will do.”

This is something fantastic should be taught to the youths today. Just anoint yourself with the olive oil and pray God will give you the best husband who loves God.

Boaz is a millionaire. His name is translated as kinsman redeemer. And this Ruth became the Great grand mother of our Lord and also King David. She is a Moabite.

2. Hospitality Purpose. Luke 7 36-39

Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house and sat down to eat.

VS37 And behold a woman in the city who was a sinner when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house brought an alabaster of fragrant oil.

Vs 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping and she began to wash His feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the Fragrant Oil.

Vs 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this he spoke to himself, saying ,

“This man, if He were a prophet would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”

3. The Oil is Used in battle. Isaiah 21Vs5

Vs 5 Prepare the table,

Set a watchman in the tower,

Eat and drink

Arise you princes,

Anoint the shield.

Even in your work place there will be a kind of battle. You have done well. But your bosses or the one who is superior is not happy. Bible say anoint the shield with oil. Anoint your work place with oil.

The devil is so scared of the anointing oil. He will flee from you. What is due to you will come to you.

When you pour the anointing oil you are telling Lord I surrender to you. And God taken in charge.

4. Medical Purpose. Wound or for healing

Luke 10:34

And went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine and he set him on his own animal brought him to an inn and took care of him.

Jesus is the Good Samaritan today. Yet when we are sinners He died, he healed us, He took ours sins, pains sorrows, our poverty and gave us victory.

He heals us deep inside.

5. The oil actually speaks about our Lord Jesus.

Psalm 45:7

You love righteousness and hate wickedness;

Therefore God, your God has anointed you,

With oil of gladness more than your companions.

Jesus is the greatest God. No one can compare with Him. And when we use this oil that speaks about Jesus. In Jesus name we have victory.

Isaiah 61:1

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,

Because the Lord has anointed Me,

To preach good tidings to the poor;

He has sent me to Heal the broken hearted

To proclaim liberty to the captives

And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

6. There shall be no judgement on you. Because you have the anointing oil of God with you. Duetronomy 28:40

One of the judgement is you shall olive trees but you shall not have olive oil over you.

But today thanks be to God through Jesus His son the oil is around us we just use it in Jesus name.

Introduction: How Do We Get Wisdom?
Here is a question that the Bible directly answers in scripture. In James 1:5, James writes, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." James states that if someone wants wisdom, that he may ask God and God will give him wisdom. James doesn't, however, state "how" God gives wisdom; neither does James state that prayer is the ONLY way through which we can get wisdom. James simply says to ask for it if you lack it and God will do the giving. But how does God give wisdom?
In the past, God gave wisdom directly to those who were inspired. In Daniel 2:23, Daniel thanks God for the wisdom that God had miraculously given to Him. He says, "I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast now made known unto me what we desired of thee; for thou hast made known unto us the king's matter." Peter also tells us that God had inspired Paul with wisdom to write his epistles in 2 Peter 3:15, 16: "And account that the long suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; wherein are some things hard to be understood, which the ignorant and unsteadfast wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." God also gave Jesus great wisdom prompting some to ask from where such wisdom originated: "And when the sabbath was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, Whence hath this man these things? and, What is the wisdom that is given unto this man, and what mean such mighty works wrought by his hands?" ( Mark 6:2). Paul also wrote concerning miraculous wisdom that was given by the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12:8: "For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit." With the cessation of miraculous gifts ( 1 Corinthians 13:8-10) also came the cessation of miraculous wisdom. Does God give wisdom directly today? One might just as well argue that God gives knowledge directly as he would that God gives wisdom directly today.
However, God does give wisdom in other ways. Just as God once gave knowledge directly by inspiration, which knowledge is now contained within His word, so also God, who gave wisdom by inspiration, has also left much wisdom for us in His word. The writer of the book of Proverbs states plainly that if one desires to know wisdom, that he should study that book. Proverbs 1:1-3 state: "The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity…." Paul also spoke concerning the wisdom that was revealed through the gospel in 1 Corinthians 6:7, "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory." Finally, Paul teaches that within the mystery of Christ "are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" ( Colossians 2:3).
Are there other ways in which God makes wisdom known? Yes. In Ephesians 3:10 Paul writes that God makes known His wisdom through the church. "To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God." We also may gain wisdom through our cumulative lifetime experiences. If we believe that all things work together for good for the Christian ( Romans 8:28), then God may also use "all things" to give wisdom as well.
God gives wisdom! What a great and wonderful blessing. May we ever look for and expect the wisdom of God in our lives.

Zechariah 4: 6&7
So he answered and said tome:
"This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
"Not by might nor by power, but My spirit.

Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!
And He shall bring forth the capstone

Nehemiah Ch 1 VS 1-4

The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah.
It came to pass in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year as I was in Shusan the citadel,
Vs 2 that Hanani one of my brethren came with men form Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped who had survived the captivity and concerning Jerusalem.
VS3 And they said to me, “ The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The walls of Jerusalem is also broken down and its gate are burned with fire.”

Meaning of Nehemiah..The Hebrew word for Nehemiah is Nehemyah.
“Comfort of Yahweh.”
HANANI means gracious.

Hanani came and saw Nehemiah and conveyed the bad news .

1. Bad news is The people are in great distress. They are in big problem.
2. The walls of Jerusalem is also broken down and its gate are burned with fire
When the people are in problem the only way is to look up to God or the comfort of Yahweh.

When the news was conveyed what did Nehemiah do.
Vs 4
He prayed. He fasted. He wept and also mourned.
Vs 7 acknowledged their sinful act against God.

This is what we should do when things don’t work well for us do what Nehemiah do. Although we in a better covenant but God wants us to humble ourselves before Him as we approach His Throne of Grace.

James 4-6

But He gives more grace . Therefore He says:

God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.

Nehemiah was well prepared in things of God. When you are prepared than things will work well for you.
All things work well for those who love God.(Roman 8:28)
He was the cup bearer for King Artaxerxes (Great King). And the king saw Nehemiah face was sad and full of worries.
Nehemiah has a heart for the Jewish people. He told the king about how the temple is destroyed.
This great King permitted Nehemiah and gave him letters so that he could pass through and also letters to the governors to get the timber to rebuilt the temple.
Nehemiah found favour with God and men the king even gave captains of the army and horse man to follow Nehemiah. When God’s favour is upon our life no enemy can come near us.
If God is with us no one can be against us.

The first thing that Nehemiah did was to inspect the broken walls.
This morning God wants us to check our broken walls. Which area we have gone wrong in the year 2006.
1. what are our broken walls that need God to deal with?
2. Is it our financial situation?
3. Is it our business?
4. Is it our marriage not working? Everyday have wrestling match in our houses.
5. Is it our job.
6. Is it your spiritual life? So dry.

When you want to rebuild the temple you will face problems. Nehemiah faced problems.As I told you earlier, he prayed,fasted, cried out to God. And time to execute God’s plan to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem.

Nehemiah Ch 4 1-6

Opposition through redicule.
When you want to walk right with God the outside world will be very fearful. The same way Nehemiah face problems with the Geshem the Arab.The Amorites,and many others were laughing. The same way people will laugh at us. When we start attending church doing things that God wants us to do.
What ever anyone say,you don’t bother just keep quiet and you start seeking God.
Matthew 6-33But seek first the King dom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added toyou.

When the enemies sees that you are strong they will use other tactics.
This is called opposition through compromise.
Nehemiah 6 1-4

Okay friend you can go to church. But join our gang once a month for enjoyment. Go to bible study, but come let us go for enjoyment. He one bottle of beer will not harm you. Nehemiah was faithful no compromise. When God wants me to build the temple there is no way I can join you.
Because I know the way. The way is Jesus. John 14-6
Jesus said to him, I am the way the truth and I am the life. No one comes to the father except through Him.
I have decide to follow Jesus no turning back no turning back. Our decision is final.

Opposition through slander
Nehemiah 6 5-9
Let us read
The same way to will be put into various test and trials. If the enemies of Nehemiah can do it to him, Our spiritual enemies will also do it to us.
Church just believe this rejoice in the Lord Always and again I say rejoice.

Turn to your neighbours and tell them that you are serious in building God’s temple. Today Christ is in You.
1 Col 26 & 27
Christ in you the hope of Glory.

Conclusion: When the temple was completed the Glory of God returns. When your temple is rebuild through God’s Grace and mercy the Sakinah Glory of God will come upon you.

1. Remission of sins Matt 3 2, 6, Mark 1 4&5, Acts 22:16
2. By identifying with Christ we receive the fruits of the death of Christ and His resurrection. Rom 6 1-11
3. We enter into a Covenant with God and we are secure in Christ 1 Peter 3 18-22
4. We are divinely quickened into new life by the Holy Spirit. Col 2 11,12
5. We receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. John 1:30-34, Act 2:38,Luke 3:16
6. We enter God’s Kingdom as His children and enjoy the blessings of the New Age. Gal 3:26,29, 1Cor 10:2

How should be one baptized?

1. In the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Matt 28:19
2. Using water Acts 8:36, John 3:23
3. Any one of the three modes of baptism:

• By pouring Signifies the Old Testament practice of Anointing. 1 Sam 10:1, Exodus 29:7
• By sprinkling. Signifies the Old Testament practice of cleansing or purification and consecration. Lev 8:30 Num 8:7
• BY immersion. Signifies the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Rom 6 1-13,Col 2:12,Matt 3:16, Acts 8 38& 39.

When should one be baptized? (the validity of infant baptism)
1. One should be baptized when he or she is able to understand repentance, able to understand and believe in the Gospel and able to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.
2. There are records of three house holds who were baptized. Acts 16:33 ! Cor 1:16,Acts 16:15. Children could have been included.
3. If we understand the connection between Baptism and Circumcision then we can baptize children of believing parents. Col 2 11-13, Matt 18:10, Mark 10 13-14, Acts 2:39, 1 Cor 7:14

Conclusion:
In baptism we take public stand with God and righteousness and against the devil and sin. Roman 6 17 &18.
Through baptism we are delivered from the nature of sin and come under the law of the spirit unto conformity to Christ and His Kingdom. Baptism must be followed by a life of obedience and faith. Baptism is the out ward expression of the inward reality of transformation. The important thing is the inner spiritual meaning and not the mode. If a Child dies anabaptized the child sill be lost under baptism neither saves not condemned. Salvation is only through Jesus Christ.
There can be only one baptism. Eph 4:5

CAN LAW AND GRACE COEXIST?

Introduction: Where did the Law came from? And where did Grace come from? Can both coexist? Many Christians will say we will have both together in order to be safe side.
Where did law come from?
1. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.(John 1: 17)
Was the law good? Yes. But, it did not make anyone good.
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Rom 3:23)
There was none righteous.
Romans 7:7
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For, I would not have know covetousness unless the law has said, “ You shall not covet.”

What happened to Apostle Paul when he started to read and believe in the law?
2. I was alive once without the law but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. ( Romans 7: 9 )
When he was supposed to memories the 5 books of the Old Testament at the age of 8. He had problems. He was no more grace conscious but law conscious and now there is condemnation over his life.
And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death.( Roman 7:10)
Paul said that he spiritually died when he thought the commandment could bring life to him actually brought death.
This is the same experience that I went through when I was under the law. I was so sin conscious that even the smallest thing I could get angry thinking we have sinned against God.
And to me God was always in the judging business. Literally I died. There was no life in me.
(Romans 7:13)
Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

3. Both cannot coexist. Galatians 5:21
That means we cannot say or believe that we can have both.
Tell me you who desire to be under the do you not hear the law?
Vs22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman.
Vs But he who was the bondwoman was born according to the flesh
And he of the freewoman through promise.
Let us look at Genesis 18 vs 17 ,18& 19
Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said in his heart, “shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And Sarah who is ninety years old bear a child?”
Vs 18 And Abraham said to God, “ Oh , that Ishmael might live before You.”
Vs 19 Then God said : “ No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his descendants after him
God Himself said no to the other covenant. The covenant of flesh fails. Abraham’s covenant was by faith.
For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.(Romans 4:13)

Gal 4:23
But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh and he of the freewoman through promise.
Vs 24 which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants, the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar.
If you say and want to keep the law it bring forth bondage. We see many Christians are still under bondage. They feel comfortable saying that they can keep the old covenant that gives birth to bondage.
They say they are Christians and do all kind of things. The flesh life nature in them is always alive.

Jesus warn us of false and true teaching.(Matthew 7: 15-20)
Vs 15 “ Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
Vs 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles?
Vs 17 “ Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
Vs 18 “ A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
Vs 19 “ Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Vs 20 “ Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”

Jesus calls people teaching any other gospel than the Gospel of Grace as false prophets.
In Gal;1vs6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called in the grace of Christ to a different gospel.
• YOU KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS.
How are they teaching people?
Do they care?
Do they live a life full of Joy, Peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self- control.
Close: You are under the new covenant. You are under grace. The old covenant God has made it obsolete.
Heb 8:13
In that He says, “ A new covenant ,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

CHRIST IS THE CENTER OF OUR MARRIAGES.

Introduction:

Marriage is a wonderful thing that God has instituted. Haseh is the Love of God. The same way God wants to bless our marriage.
If you are single over all you need this massage the most. But if you are married than this massage can build up your marriage relationship. If the love relationship between husband and wife is very good than we can see believers excelling in their lives and also we will have a healthy church. Than we can see than Kuantan, Pahang will be full of new believers rushing to all the Churches.

• Let us look at the bible on when marriage was first instituted.
Gen. 2:18-24 (Read)
When God created the moon and the star He spoke to the sky, the atmosphere. When God created the fishes and the sea creatures he spoke to the sea. When He created the animals He spoke to the earth, the land. But when God created man He spoke to Himself. - Gen. 1:26

• Let us look at how man was created:
In Hebrew the word for God created man is Yat Zak, which means God squeeze man from the dust of the ground. But for God created woman is Paa Nak, which means God skillfully build. Man do you know why it is so hard to understand a woman? It is because when God created women (Eve) man (Adam) was asleep. – Gen. 2:21-23
Verse 23- Read
These is now bones of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called women because she was taken out of man.

Man ~ Ish
Woman ~ Isha

But before God created woman, He asked Adam to name the animals. Men naturally are not good talkers. According to a survey, man has 50,000 words inside. Whereas a woman has 100,000 words inside. When a man goes to work he uses up all the words. And when he comes back he got no words too talk but then the woman who had all the words stored up inside wants to talk. Than ADAM becomes dumb. When the husband is dumb than the problem starts in the home. He has finished up his words. But the wife is fresh want to talk some more. Finally the wife talks the man keeps quiet. This is where the serpent took the opportunity to seduce Eve to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

• Eph. 5:22- 24
There is some different here compared to the first time God spoke to
Adam and Adam was dumb when the serpent spoke to Eve. Now Paul is writing this letter to Church of Ephesus addressing to the woman first.

Wives submit to your own husbands as to the Lord
But pastor, I find it difficult to submit.

If I submit than he is going to bully me.
I can only submit in certain areas.
If I totally submit than he will take advantage of me.
He is always doing the wrong thing.

Bible says submit.
Story of Smith:
Smith was not a Christian. His wife was a Christian. One day as she wanted to go to church, she kissed her husband and said darling I love you but I want to go to church. So she went her way. But when she came home the door was locked and she was unable to going. It was winter and she was shivering in coldness. The next morning when her husband opened the door, she stood up and said darling what would you like for breakfast?
These changed Smith’s life. He became a powerful man of God.
When his wife died after one hour, he took her up and revived her back to life. And she ask him “ Smith what are you doing? I was talking to Jesus” and Smith said “Darling I missed you” and his wife answered him and said “No Smith it is time for me to go” and Smith let her go.

My dear brothers and sisters it is because of submitting to her husband she was able to bring him to God.

Eph. 5:25-30
Vs 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

• Unconditional love.
• Full of grace.(Full of undeserved favour)
• Always SMS( start new)
• Buy gifts for her.
Vs26
To make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.

How to make your wife holy.
• Spend time with her.
• Listening to God’s word
• Talk to her about the goodness of God.
• Read the word together.
• Don’t always scold and accept things to happen.
• Tell her I love you like crazy.
Vs 27
And to present her to himself as radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish,

The more husbands spend time with their wives they will see good results. Wife always confident, happy, having peace. And the wife will be pure and holy in the presence of God.

Vs 28
In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

I was thinking when I prepared this sermon how I love my own body. Then something told me wake up in the morning. I see that I am clean. Well shaved, body lotion, perfume, than the hair part I have problem. No hair to comb. Now, my wife told me my hair is growing. I have to comb it. Not, like some of our friends here don’t have hair……Joke.

The wife should have all the best perfumes, powder, lipstick or any other make up. Husbands buy for them.

DRY BONES COME ALIVE.

Speak the words of life and it will bring life

Introduction:

This morning I have good news for you . I have taken from Ezekiel 37 1-14

The name Ezekiel means God Strengthens. Today God is going to strengthen you.

The vision came and Ezekiel saw in the midst of the valley it was full of bones.

When you see it is only bones and no flesh it means there is spiritual dryness.
In our present times these signs means
1. It is depression of the heart and the spirit.
2. It is associated with disappointments and defeats.
3. It is full of frustration

God spoke to Ezekiel,
Can these bones live.? Ezekiel answered O Lord God you know.

God was asking and hoping to get a positive answer form Ezekiel.

How negative our situation might be, God is speaking to us there is hope.

Vs 4
And again He said to me “Prophesy to these bones and say to them ‘ O dry bones hear the word of the Lord.!

When you want to lead a successful life hear God’s word.
• His word is alive
• His word brings for the life
• His word is lamp unto you feet and a light unto your path.

The Roman Centurion came to Jesus. Lord my servant is sick and I believe you could heal him. Jesus said I come and heal you son. He said Lord I am not worthy to receive you but speak the word and my servant will be healed.
And Jesus said I have not seen any great faith like this in Israel. Go your servant is healed. If you hear God’s word on a regular basis you will have good success. Your negative thoughts will be turned to positive.

Vs 5
Thus says the Lord God to these bones. “Surely I will cause breath to enter you and you shall live.

I love the word surely in the bible .

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

God says you shall live in what ever circumstances you are in today . Those negative things that has been bothering you for many years will come to an end today. Amen.

Vs 6

I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”””

• You don’t have to look back at you failures
• God is giving you new strength. You shall be like eagle. Having great strength.
• God gives the Holy Spirit to dwell with you.

Jesus said I will give you a comforter. He will guide you in every thing. Just believe and receive the goodness Gopd has in store for us.
• THE NINE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT(1 COR 12 7-10)
1. WORD OF KNOWLEDGE: A supernatural revelation of facts about a person or situation –past,present or future. This Gift makes you see how God sees. Jn 4:18,19
2. Word OF WISDOM: The special ability given by the Holy Spirit on how a given revelation may be applied to the situation. This gift given wisdom to solve the problem revealed through the Word of Knowledge. Gen 41 28-41
3. GIFT OF FAITH: A supernatural surge of confidence or transrational certainity that God is about to act. When this gift operates you have the faith of God and you become a supernatural person. What you speak will happen. Acts 14: 9,10
4. GIFTS OF HEALING: The ability to bring about healing of disease and infirmities supernaturally
5. WORKING OF MIRACLES: The supernatural intervention in man’s routine and natural living defying natural laws.
6. GIFT OF PROPHECY: The ability to receive and communicate an immediate message of God. Acts 13 1-4
7. DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN SPIRITS: The supernatural perception to discern the motivating spirit behind an act or word.
8. GIFT TONGUES: Spontaneous utterance in language not learnt before.
9. INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES: Supernatural revelation which enables to understand and communicate the message spoken in tongues in the language of the listeners.
Vs 7

Ezekiel prophesied and as he prophesied there was noise and suddenly a rattling and the bones came together bone to bone.

Even when you start speaking and saying things will work.
When you say die you shall surely die. But when you say live you shall surely live.

Jesus said if you tell to the mountain be thou cast into the sea and does not doubt them he will have what ever he says. Mark 11:23

Tonight I am speaking life to your mortal bodies. I am speaking life to you problems. God is solving the problem even right now.

Vs 8

Indeed as I looked the sinews and the flesh came upon them and the skin covered them over but there was no breath in them.

When we receive miracles form God it is excellent. But we still must have the breath of God in us That is the Spirit of God. Ezekiel saw that they are good but no breath.

Vs 9

Then God spoke to him and said prophesy again and say to the breath, thus says the Lord God come from four winds o breath and breathe on these slain that they may live.

When Ezekiel prophesied these time the whole dry bones stood up.
An excedingly great army . Breath came into them. The spirit of God was in them they became strong .
They said our bones are dry, our hope is lost and we ourselves are cut off.’

When we see there is no hope. We will die spiritually.

There is hope in Jesus.

Christ in you the hope of Glory. Today the spirit of God is upon you. The God whom we serve is a possible god. Man may fail us, but God can never fail us. He wants to be where you are. He his is giving you a comfort heart. He is not looking at your failure but he is looking at you just you are. If you just give your problems to Jesus He is willing to solve it for you.
1. If your are bodily sick He is your healer. Johavah Rophi Ex15:26.(the Lord is our Healer)
2. If you having financial problem He is your provider Jovah JirehGen 22:14(The Lord is my provider)
3. If you think god has left you. Remember Eze 48-35 The Lord is present. The Lord is at hand.
4. If you think that you you have no peace. Judges 6:24 Jehovah shalom. The Lord is my peace.
5. He is the El Elyon. The supreme owner , the most high God.

Today God is picture as your Abba father. Through Jesus Christ His son son, we are mad sons and daughter. What ever we ask in Jesus name to the Father we shall receive them.

There is hope. If you are in a hopeless situation. There is Good News there is Hope. Just Believe and receive the blessings Amen.

Believers Judgement

What is a believers Judgement?
1. Only believers will be judged at this judgement. It is not a trial to decide whether a person is saved or not. Salvation is settled while a person is alive. John 3 16-18 The believers sins that are confessed are all forgiven forever.
Heb 10:17, 1 John 1:9
2. Believers will give account of their stewardship. Roman 14 10-12,Matt 10:41,43
3. The believers works will be judged 1 cor 3 13-15
4. Every word spoken will be judged. Matt 12:36&37
5. Every secret of the heart will be judged. Romans 2:16, 1 Cor 4:5

The Future Glory of Believers.
1. To be with Christ John 14:3
2. To behold His face Psalm 17:15, Rev 22:4
3. To behold His glory.John 17:24,Maat 17:2
4. To be glorified with Christ>Rom 8 17-18 2 Cor 4:17
5. To reign with Christ 2 Timothy 2:12
6. To inherit all things Rev 21:7 Acts 26:18
7. To shine as stars Matt 13:43,Daniel 12:3

Today we are going to see the what are the crowns that believers may win.
1. Crown for Soul winners –the crown of Rejoicing 1 Thes 2-19
2. Crown for the faithful ones James 1:12,Rev 2:10 The Crown of Life.
3. Crown for runners 1 Cor 9 24& 25 (The incorruptible Crown.)
4. Crown for anticipators 11 Tim 4;8 The Crown of Righteousness
5. Crown for the faithful one James 1:12,Rev 2-10 The crown of life.
6. Crown for Pastors 1 Peter 5-4 The Crown of Glory.

Thank our God that through His Son Jesus Christ we attain the Crown that will be given to us.

But what happens to the wicked.

1. Those who have never been born again; those who did not rise up at the first resurrection or were not raptured will be judged by God. Roman 2: 5-16 11 thes 1 ;7-9
2. The judgement will take place after the Millenium Rev 20:5
3. Jesus will sit on the Great White Throne and Judge all those who are not saved Rev 20:11
4. Books and the Book of life will be opened Rev 20:12
5. The judgement will for the doom of the ungodly Rev 20-15

Conclusion.

To the Christian the Day of Judgement should hold not terror for it is the best day. It will be the Christian Crowning Day! God will say ‘ Well Done to him and invite him into His Heritage 1 Peter 1:4, Matt 25-21.

For the man without Christ the Day of judgement will a be a day of terror and doom.

Introduction:

We have heard many times the word righteousness. And many times we hear Christian speaking you must be righteous. You must be this you must be that in order for God to bless you. Nothing wrong in being righteous, that’s what God wants us to be. But anything of your self effort will lead to self righteousness.

What is righteousness?

Let us look at Isaiah 54 vs 13,14 & 17

Vs13 All your Children shall be taught by the Lord. And great shall be the peace of your children.

Vs14 In righteousness you shall be established;
You shall be far from oppression ,for you shall not fear;
And from terror for it shall not come near you.

Vs 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgement,
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
And their righteousness is from me says the Lord.

1. Righteousness is a gift of God. When we believe that this a gift of God. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.( Phil 4:13)
2. Righteousness is right being with God it is not right doing.

Pray tell me How did Abraham obtained Righteousness.

Galatians Ch 3 Vs 6-9

Vs 6 Just as Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Vs 7 Therefore know that only those who of faith are sons of Abraham.
Vs 8 And the scripture for seeing that God would justify the nations by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand saying
In You all the nations shall be blessed.
Vs 9 So then those who of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

Abraham only believed God and it was counted righteousness for him. Abraham was a blessed man.

Today you and I are the seed of Abraham. You are the righteousness of God.

Abrahams righteousness was by faith.

I love this statement.

Romans 4:16-25

16-Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those of the law but also to those who are of faith of Abraham who is the father of all.
17-as it is written I have made you a father of many nations in the presence of Him who he believed even God who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.
18 who contrary to hope in hope believed so that he became the father of many nations according to what was spoken, so shall your descendants be.
19 And not being weak in faith he did not consider his own body already dead(since He was about a hundred years old and the deadness of Sarah’s
20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief but was strengthened in faith giving glory to God.
21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was able to perform.
22 and therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness”

vs23 it speaks to us Christian

Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him

Vs 24 but also for us.It shall imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord form the dead.
Vs 25 who was delivered up because of our offences and was raised because of our justification.

You must believe the day you accept Jesus as your lord and Savior. You have been given many gifts. And you became righteous through the one. The word of God says what ever you ask in my name in shall be given to you.

You are God’s chosen vessel to this end time generation. You are the blessed one. You have receive this gift. You are made righteous.

Your prayer avails much.
The prayer of a righteous man avails much. That means if you believe you are righteous.

Mark 11;24

Therefore I say to you what ever things you ask when you pray believe that you receive them and you will have them.

When you know you are the righteousness of god in Christ Jesus. When you pray and believe you will receive.

1. for your healing
2. for your financial blessings
3. for your children education, protection.

Therefore as through one man’s offense judgement came to all men resulting in condemnation, even so through on Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all all men resulting in justification of life.

Introduction:
Every where you go you can find people discouraged .You may be a Christian but this danger of discouragement will effect you if you give in.
The devil uses this weapon to bring believer into bondage again. Before we even go into this topic let us look what is discouragement.

What is discouragement?
• It is the depression of the heart and the spirit.
• It is associated with disappointments and defeats.
• It follows a set back in your life or ministry.
• It is the very opposite of faith and courage.
• It is Satan’s device to thwart the plan and work of God in our lives.
• It makes us see negatively- only the unfavorable circumstances.

When does discouragement come?
I believe everyone knows the answer. But let us see what the bible speaks of concerning this.

• Following any defeat or disappointments in your life.
1. Frustrated with your working environment
2. Angry with your spouse.
3. Disobedient children.
4. Frustrated with your leaders or any other person.
5. Everyone is wrong.

Disappointment in King Saul’s life for obeying the wrong voice.

1King 15 vs20-24

And Saul said to Samuel “ But I have obeyed the voice of the Lord and gone on the mission on which the Lord Sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have destroyed the Amalekites.

Vs 21 ‘ But the people took of the plunder of ,sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.”

Vs22 Then Samuel said:
“ Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of Rams.

Vs 23
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He also has rejected you from being king”

Disappointment of Jonah after a great victory Jonah 4:3,8

Vs 3 Therefore now ,O Lord please take my life from me ,for it better for me to die than to live.

Vs 8 And it happened when the sun arose, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat on Jonah’s head, so that he grew faint. Then he wished death for himself, and said , “ It is better for me to die than to live.”

This happens to many of us. After a great achievement we sometime come to this stage and start complaining. We want things to happen according to our way not God’s way.

HOW TO HANDLE DISCOURAGEMENT

1. Do not focus on the present difficulties. Focus on the vision and the job to be done. Retain faith,hope and courage.

Heb 12 1-2
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

Vs2 looking unto Jesus , the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was et before Him endured the cross despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2. Exercise your faith with patient and endurance.

Heb 10 :35-36
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.
Vs 36 For you have need of endurance so that after you have done the will of God you may receive the promise.

3. Pray more intensely.
Eph 6:18
Praying with all prayer and supplications in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

4. Accept the challenge to persevere.

Matt 10;22
And you will be hated by all for my Name sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

5. Seek the support of fellow believers. Do not go into isolation.

Galatians 6:2 Bear on another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

6. Encourage yourself in the Lord .

1 Samuel 30 vs6
Then David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

7. Stand on the promises of God in your life. By reading the bible.

2 Corinthian 1:20
For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

Conclusion:

Discouragement is on of the spiritual bondages that hinders the believers from living for the Lord. The devil uses discouragement to deter the believer from serving the Lord.

The Holy Spirit can bring inner healing and deliver from this bondage. The holy Spirit gives inner strength to perform for the Lord in all might and excellence.
Joshua 1: 9
Be strong and of good courage, be not frightened, neither be dismayed, for the Lord Your God is with you wherever you go.

Fear not, For I am with you, be not dismayed, For I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10

The blessings you would receive by believing in Jesus

Text: Deuteronomy 28: 1-14

Introduction:
Christian find it difficult to really believe this statement. BY believing in Jesus you will be blessed. We would like to receive a lot of blessings from the Lord. But this morning I have good news for you that you will be enable to receive the blessings of God overflowing in your lives.

Let us see what Deuteronomy 28: 1-14

1 If you full obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
The problem is the speculation if you keep the commands
If he breaks any of the commands than he or she is disqualified to receive the blessings.
Who can really keep God’s command?
Who is righteous enough to get this blessings?

Let us refer to John 15:10

If you keep My commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept My father’s commandments and abide in His love.

Who is able to keep the commandments?
JESUS

John 15:12
This is MY commandment that you love one another as I have loved you.

Principle of receiving favour of God.

1. Believe that you are the righteous of God in Christ Jesus.

You are not saved because of your good works you are saved by believing in Jesus.
But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works.(Roman 4:5-6)
If you believe this that God has made you righteous than you see favour after favour coming upon you.

2. Seek God daily in your life.

But seek first the Kingdom of and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.
(Matt 6 :33)
What is the meaning of the Kingdom?
Roman 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
When there is peace, joy in the Holy Spirit than you just be seeing the favour coming upon you daily.

Psalm 1: 3
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water
That brings forth its fruit in its season
Whose leaf shall not wither
And what ever he does shall prosper.

3. Dead to sin but alive in Christ.

When grace and favour of God is preached this question arise from many people.
The question is shall we continue to sin that grace be abound?
Romans 6:1,2,3,4
What shall we say then? Shall we continues in sin that grace may abound?
Vs2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
Vs3 Or do you not know that as many of us were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
Vs 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father even so we also should walk in the newness of life.

4. Believe and ask favour from God and men.

John 14 :12,13,14
Vs 12 Most assuredly I say to you he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to my father.
Vs 13 And whatever you ask in my name, that I will do that the father may be glorified in the Son.
Vs 14 If you ask anything in my name I will do it.

What ever you want from God ask Him in Jesus name He will do it.
Testimony of a lady who wants favour from her boss. (share this)
Testimony of another person who needed her suppliers to pay RM1.6 million before Chinese made it through Jesus.

5. Speak and Confess God’s Favour in your life.

Isaiah 55:11
So shall My word that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void
But it shall accomplish what I please
And it shall prosper in the things for which I sent.

6. He has given you a phone number. He wants you to call Him.

Jeremiah 33:3
Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.
When you call Him you are going to receive favour. He is just waiting for you.
Tell them the story of the prodigal son. How the father still wanted to bless his son although his son do not deserve

Great man of God who received abundance of favour and blessings from God.

1. Abraham
Romans 4:3 For what does the scripture say? “ Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

2. Joseph
Genesis 39:3-4 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favour in his sight. He became the Prime Minister.

3. Job
Job 10:12 You have granted me life and favour, and Your care has preserved my spirit.
How do we confess and believe for God’s Favour to come into your life?

4. David
Man who has the heart of God. Found favour after favour in his life

5. Ruth and Esther
Found Favour and Grace from God.

Conclusion

You too will receive abundance of Grace and Favour from the Lord just believe it daily and you will know that God’s favour is upon your life.

Repeat after me loud.

• For You o Lord will bless the righteous; with favor you will surround him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12
• For His anger is but for a moment, His favour is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5
• You have granted me life and favour, and Your care has preserved my spirit. Job 10-12
• And God is able to make all grace abound towards me, that I always having all sufficiency in all things may have an abundance for every good work.2 Corinthians 9:8

Testimony of a Lady in our church about a snatch thief.

During our prayer meeting on Tuesday night the Son of Madam Manomoney Elder Ravi said that he would like to share a testimony concerning his mother
His mother is a two year old Christian who was a strong hindu. She wakes up as early as 5.am in the morning to worship the idols.
But after knowing the Lord she was baptised in the Holy Spirit.
She prays in tongues for hours.
On 2nd of June 2009 that is yesterday she made some cookies to give it to her close friend living nearby, Madam Jamilah.
While crossing the road she noticed a Chinese youth on a motorcycle was observing her.
She paid no attention to him, always believing that Jesus will protect her.
After delivering the cookies to Madam Jamilah, she crossed the road back home.
As she was about to reach her house, the youth who was watching her suddenly appeared from the other direction came at her, an attempted to snatch her gold chain.
She grabbed and pushed away his hand.
When she turned around to look at him, she saw his face all pale and frightened as if he's seen a ghost.
He hurriedly fled with his motorcycle fled without getting anything.
All Glory and Honour to Our Lord Jesus who sets edges around us.
Keep on praying in tongues. It is always a blessing.

Next, Holy Communion...

One thing different about G.A.M is that we have Holy Communion for every service EVERY WEEK... Yup... that includes Prayer Meeting, Bible Study and also Morning prayer...

WHY???? Because there is a lot of power in taking the Holy Communion... Especially for Health and Wholeness... I'm sure Pastor or one of the Elders would blog about it really soon! =)

for our first service the Holy Communion was conducted by Elder Ravi... and it looks like he's been doing it every week since then! =)

he does have a lot of testimony of himself regarding taking the holy communion!

Next up! Elder Lee sharing to everyone about the Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, etc of G.A.M...

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, who exists in three Persons — the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is loving, holy and just.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is inspired and accurate. It is our perfect guide in all matters of life.

We believe that sin has separated us all from God, and that only through Jesus Christ can we be reconciled to God.

We believe that Jesus Christ is both God and Man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took all our sins upon Himself, died and rose again. Today, He is seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Mediator.

We believe that salvation is the gift of God to man. This gift is effected by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and it produces works pleasing to God.

We believe that water baptism is an outward act that demonstrates a believer's identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is our Comforter. He guides us in all areas of our lives. He also blesses us with spiritual gifts and empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit.

We believe that we are called to preach the gospel to all nations.

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

Opening of a New Church in Kuantan,Pahang On The 12th April 2009.

After much prayer and waiting upon the Lord. Our Father God has finally given us a building to start a Church. Our initial idea was to set up a School of Disciple. But, it did not work out the way we thought.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. Isa 55:8

Immediately God gave us this building by allowing the present tenant to move out. Then things start working out in such a way that it is God’s hand upon this place encouraging us to open a Church based 100% on Grace. God also gave us prominent leaders to lead the Church.
We chose the name Grace Awakening because it suits the motto that it is All Grace.
We are asking our brothers and sisters to give anything that they could afford to bring an offering to the Lord that they will be blessed.

And Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the things which the Lord commanded saying:
“Take from among you an offering to the Lord. Whoever is of willing heart let him bring an offering let him bring it as an offering to the Lord: gold, silver, and bronze,
Exodus 35: 4-5

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Cor. 9 vs7)

On behalf of our elders in the church I thank God our Father that He will bless you in every area of your life.
